Nigerian columnist blasts pastors, says God gave him a house in VI without tithing (photos)

A Nigerian columnist identified as Femi Aribisala who educates people about Christianity has shared his thoughts on tithes and offerings in churches.

The 65-year-old columinist expressed that pastors are exploiting people who pay tithes and offerings. He noted that he has been given everything he has by the grace of God without paying tithes. Aribisala called pastors robbers of God, adding that they extort people for money using the scripture. He said: “Pastors use this scripture to browbeat their church-members and extort money from them. However, what they hide from unsuspecting Christians is the fact that the thieves said to be robbing God here are actually not the people of Israel, but the Levites and pastors themselves. As is still commonplace today, the pastors of biblical Israel were stealing the tithes and offerings of the people, and converting them to personal use. (1 Samuel 2:28-35).”

Apostle Suleman advises graduates going for their youth service, gives out N3m as transport fare

Apostle Johnson Suleman  gave the money out after he advised them on the journey ahead

His church congregation/followers expressed their excitement and gratitude at the kind gesture

The Pastor and general overseer of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has once again managed to get people talking and this time for the right reasons. In one of his recent church service, the pastor gave out N3m as transport fare to graduates going for youth service.

In a video now circulating on the internet, the man of God addressed the prospective Youth Corps members and advised them on the service year ahead. The pastor who is most popular for controversy went ahead to give the graduates N3 million as his own little way of providing aid.

The news of his generous act thrilled a lot of people who took to social media to shower him with praises and beautiful accolades. Some peopl, however, saw this act as his own subtle way of proving a point to the leader of the "Free the Shepple Movement" media personality popularly known as Daddy Freeze who has continuously attacked pastors on the issue of tithing.

Although this kind gesture by the man of God may seem to impress a lot of people, not everyone is pleased with this. There are people who are of the opinion that such acts should not be made public as the sole purpose is lost. While others are of the belief that the money in question given to the graduates was taken from the church contribution and therefore, there was no point in giving the credit to him.
